Selena Gomez and the Scene, Who Says?
Jesus uses a parable in this Sunday’s gospel to show that he calls all people, not only the perfect or powerful. He invites all to his banquet. In contrast, we often see people being excluded in our schools and communities. “Who Says?” is an anthem celebrating everyone, regardless of imperfections.
Key lines: Who says/Who says you’re not perfect/Who says you’re not worth it/ Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting/Trust me/That’s the price of beauty/Who says you’re not pretty/Who says you’re not beautiful
Questions: Who in your school or community feels excluded? What steps can you take to make your school or church more welcoming? What invitations does your church offer that you don’t respond to? Why? What is an example of a time when someone reached out and made sure you weren’t excluded?
